The Field family business was Candle and Soap makers, founded by Thomas Filed of Lambeth London in 1642. In 1820 the firm were listed as wax-chandler to the Prince Regent. Soap manufacture started in the 1840's.
This beautiful little mirror has survived well and is still in it's original frame - there is slight damage to the back but it is still fully intact. The frame has a few nibbles and the mirror itself hasn't foxed but there are a couple of scratches however this doesn't impact the use.
This will look gorgeous adorning any bathroom wall, cabinet etc.
