The Edison record label pioneered sound recording and reproduction founded in 1888. The wax cylinders that recorded the sound did not name the artist and in the 1920's lagged behind their competitors and stopped production of recordings in 1929. These beautiful cylinders are in great condition although I don't know if they still play. What a great original gift for a musician or record enthusiast. Dimensions : 2½" Dia x 4½" H
